PLAR is ideal for workers who already perform in an occupational area and want to be formally certified.
Candidate reviews the Occupational Standard.
Identifies strengths and areas for improvement.
Job tasks, photos, logs, supervisor letters, videos, prior certificates.
Evaluator identifies missing competencies.
Delivered through training provider.
Once gaps are closed, candidate is assessed for a CVQ/NVQ.
The LLU offers short courses designed for quick training, gap closure, and job readiness.
