For the first time, BACDC will feature a Construction Open Day which will take place on September 24, 2025 in the Sandals Royal Car Park, commencing at 9:00 a.m.
The rationale behind the Construction Open Day & Job Fair is that the conference offers the opportunity for persons, particularly in construction, and design, to develop their professional knowledge.
The Construction Open Day is essentially, a market day where industry professionals can come and learn about the latest technology, equipment and materials being utilized in the sector.
This includes the suppliers of construction equipment and equipment rentals, building materials including cementitious and reinforcement materials, tiles, paints and coatings, fixtures and fittings, plumbing and electrical supplies. Also, there will be cutting edge construction services such as drone photography.
The Barbados Construction Gateway Training Initiative (BCGTI) will be hosting a job fair for graduates and participants of BCGTI and companies looking to expand their team.
The Construction Open Day & Job Fair is an important opportunity for contractors, project managers, masons, tilers, plumbers, carpenters, electricians, maintenance personnel, roof fitters, Do-it-Yourselfers and the public to learn more about the thriving construction industry in Barbados.
The Barbados Annual Construction and Design Conference Schools’ Design Competition challenges students to utilize the latest technology to design innovative solutions to challenges such as sustainable living and cost-effective construction design.
This exciting competition is a platform for visionary future designers, architects, engineers, and construction professionals to showcase their talent and ingenuity. We are looking for groups of individuals between 16 – 25 years of age attending at a training institution/centre (public and private). Students should bring groundbreaking ideas that will redefine the way we design, build and live within Barbados and the Caribbean.
