Our Training Services include:

Competence-Based Education and Training Train the Trainer programme

Competency Based Education and Training (CBET) is a learner-centred methodology that prepares trainees with the technical skills, knowledge and attitudes for the work role. This workshop equips individuals to deliver training using the CBET methodology.

Length of time:39 hours / 5 working days

Assessor Training programme

A training programme which provides trainees with technical skills, knowledge and attitudes for assessment to evaluate competencies in an occupational area. The programme consists of five (5) units in the CVQ Assessment Level 4.

Length of time:42 hours / 5 working days

Master Assessor Training

This workshop prepares individuals to deliver the Assessor Training Programme. The prerequisite requirements include: the achievement of competence in the ten (10) units of the CVQ Assessment Level 4; 2 years’ experience as an Assessor; 1 years’ experience as an Assessor Supervisor and a minimum of four years’ experience in conducting and facilitating training programmes.

Length of time:30 hours /4 working days

N/CVQ Coordinator Training

Training in the functions of the role and responsibilities of the N/CVQ Coordinator and the administrative procedures and processes for the Centre and TVET Council. The N/CVQ Coordinator is the contact person between the Centre and TVET Council.

Length of time:8 hours / 1 working day

Internal Verifier Training

Training in the functions of the role and responsibilities of the Internal Verifier (IV). The IV has direct responsibility for the quality assurance of the assessment process in the approved Centre and supports the Assessors and ensures consistent quality of assessment and competence. The IV must be a trained Assessor.

Length of time:16 hours / 2 working days

External Verifier Training

Training in the functions of the role and responsibilities of the External Verifier. The EV has direct responsibility for the overall quality of the assessment process. The EV confirms that the assessments are valid and approves the recommendations for awarding of the certificates of competence. The EV must be a trained assessor.

Length of time:24 hours / 3 working days
