Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is for individuals working in the animal husbandry sector who wish to enhance their knowledge of handling, breeding and the marketing of rabbits.

Individuals who would benefit from this qualification include:

  • Farmers/Farm workers
  • Rabbit Breeders
  • Pet Shop Attendants

This list is not exhaustive and only serves to illustrate the breadth of the qualification.

How it is structured?

To achieve this Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ), candidates must successfully complete all mandatory units and a minimum of one (1) elective unit.

What does it covers?

The mandatory units include:

  • Construct rabbit cage
  • Feed rabbits
  • Handle and care for rabbits
  • Maintain health of rabbits
  • Breed rabbits
  • Prepare rabbits for market

The optional units cover:

  • Sell products and services
  • Craft personal entrepreneurial strategy
