This qualification is aimed at anyone seeking to acquire or improve their cyber security skills. It supports the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes required to take on responsibilities such as assessing risks to improve security policies and protocols; anticipating information security risks; protecting an organisation's systems and networks; responding to security alerts and preventing cyber-attacks of various types. Candidates are not required to have any prior knowledge or experience of cyber security for this qualification; however, possession of a qualification at Level 2 in Digital Skills, Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology or a similar qualification is required or a basic knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
