In previous issues of TECVOC we shared the business benefits of National Vocational Qualifications in the business, financial and hospitality services sector. In this issue, we continue with experiences from the retail sector in the U.K.
The Business The Marks & Spencer Group, whose annual turnover is more than £7.2 billion, has two major areas of activity, retailing and financial services. As a retailer, the company has stores and franchise operations worldwide occupying a total square footage of approximately 14 million and employing more than 63,000 staff.
